It is with great pleasure that the Burlington Symphony Orchestra announces the appointment of Denis Mastromonaco as Music Director and Conductor.

Maestro Mastromonaco brings a wealth of experience to his role, having worked with Royal Opera Canada, the National Academy Orchestra, the State University of New York, the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra (Czech Republic) and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, to name but a few.

A passionate advocate for music in the community, he is much in demand as a clinician and adjudicator. Widely recognized for his ability to inspire and mentor, he was awarded the Ontario Service Medal for contribution to the arts in 2013.

In noting how honored he was to accept the position, Maestro Mastromonaco said “It is a privilege for me to work with such talented individuals who dedicate their time to making music and sharing their passion for symphonic art form.

The season ahead will be filled with an array of talented soloists and some of the finest orchestral music in the repertoire. I am confident our patrons will enjoy our performances and share memorable experiences with us in the wonderful Burlington Performing Arts Centre.”

The Burlington Symphony Orchestra is a community-based orchestra, proudly serving the artistic needs of Burlington, Hamilton and the surrounding region.
